About Us
We believe in God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost.
Gethsemane’s mission requires believers to “go” throughout our earthly communities witnessing “God is Love,” compelling the sick, the lame, the broken hearted, the blind, and heavy laden to “come” unto the Lord and experience His salvation through the baptism of the Holy Spirit.
Our Outreach Ministries seek to share and teach God’s Word for families, women, men, and children prosperity. Our continued hope is to witness the Gospel of Jesus Christ throughtout the World.
Our Pastor
Pastor Bruce Carter is a life resident of Rockford, Illinois, and shares his testimony of Grace, Mercy, and Love from our Heavenly Father through his 34 years of preaching and his 30 years as Pastor of Gethsemane Christian Church, Rockford IL.
Pastor Carter is a loving and exemplary man of God, which is reflected in his marriage of 39 years to Angela Carter, three children, two sons-in-law, one daughter-in-law and eight grandchildren. His devotion to God and his family is a supreme example of faith, love, and integrity. He is an avid scholar of the Bible, a student of Hebrew and Greek Languages, and a Retired Professional. Pastor Carter attended Christian Life Bible College in Mount Prospect, Illinois, to broaden his theologian knowledge for preaching the Gospel and leading the flock of God. Through his studies, Pastor Carter has formulated several counseling and Christian courses of study, which he freely delivers to local parishioners. Read the full bio here.
